About the training
She last for 1 year, sometimes up to 2 according to the regions, and follows the dual model. This means that you will combine periods of theoretical learning in vocational school with intensive practical placements directly in an elderly care facility
There you will develop crucial basic care skills (hygiene, nutrition, mobilization), monitoring of health status, assistance with daily activities, and empathetic communication with residents and their families.
A major advantage of this curriculum is that it is generally remunerated which greatly facilitates your life and financial autonomy while you learn. Once graduated, you will be able to work directly in retirement homes, geriatric clinics or home care services.

You have the chance to begin electrical engineering vocational training in Germany, in March/April or in September/October of each year.
